Lining Technician

Epoxy & Trenchless Technology Technician
Pay up to $30/hr, based on experience

The Lining Technician performs no-dig construction rehabilitation processes. This position works in commercial, industrial and manufacturing, nuclear plants, and government facilities. Experience with CIPP, CCTV technologies are relevant to this position. Experience with video inspection cameras and mainline cameras are a plus. Travel is required on a project basis and could range from days to several weeks. The company provides hotel accommodations, per diem, and transportation to and from locations.

  • Open to obtain knowledge in CIPP Pipelining industry, water and steam curing, including air inversion from 3” to 36” diameter piping, pull in place liners and point repairs.
  • Must understand, or be able to learn, and direct the various operations involved with CIPP, CCTV, cleaning and bypass flow management.
  • Must be able to work with resin and chemicals associated with the installation of cured-in-place liners; MSDS are available.
  • Must be able to enter and exit structures (Manholes, Vaults, etc.) leading to underground pipelines and safely work within the confined spaces in accordance with applicable Federal, State and company safety guidelines.
  • Must be able to install pipe plugs on sanitary, storm, and process pipelines in potentially wet environments.
  • Must be able to stand most of the day and walk on uneven ground
  • Must be able to use proper lifting technique to lift, walk, pull, and drag a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend a minimum 25’ ladder and work in elevated situations.

Qualifications

  • Must pass a 10 year criminal background check due to work in nuclear facilities
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Knowledge on using heavy equipment is a plus
  • Dependable, hard-working, able to pass a fitness to duty test
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Able to obtain DOT Medical Card, respirator fitness and audiometric certification
  • Availability to travel as needed by the job, sometimes multiple weeks at a time
